Temple University School of Pharmacy welcomed students and guests from across the region on Tuesday, November 18, for the Delaware Valley Society of Health-System Pharmacists’ (DVSHP) annual Student Poster Night. Presenters from TUSP, Jefferson College of Pharmacy, Penn Medicine, and Saint Joseph’s University shared their research projects, case reports, and clinical insights with attendees.
TUSP winners of the poster contest: (L-R) John Pham, Komal Kumar, and Daniel Amusin
Posters were judged and results shared during an awards ceremony, where first place was awarded to Temple University PharmD students Daniel Amusin, Komal Kumar, and John Pham. Their winning poster: “Amantadine-Induced Neurotoxicity in a Hemodialysis Patient: A Case Report,” captured the attention of judges and attendees, earning the number one spot and taking home the win for Temple University’s School of Pharmacy.
Students from all participating schools showcased their professionalism and preparedness, presenting extensive research on a wide range of pharmacy-related topics and challenges. Events like this provide valuable opportunities for students to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom while gaining confidence in their communication and presentation skills.
DVSHP and Temple University School of Pharmacy expressed gratitude to all presenters, attendees, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. The annual poster night continues to serve as a cornerstone for academic excellence, professional development, and community-building among pharmacy students throughout the region.
