This Thanksgiving, the Barnett College of Public Health at Temple University came together to support our North Philadelphia neighbors through our annual holiday drive — donating 105 Thanksgiving baskets to families across the community.
With the leadership of Ra’Shaun Gass, director of Community Engagement, and the support of about 15 volunteers including community members, faculty, staff, and students, we were able to serve partners across the city: Norris Homes, NC5 (housing in North Central at Warnock and Berks Streets), Savage Sisters, the School District of Philadelphia, and several local churches.
These baskets don’t just provide ingredients for a holiday meal — they reflect our commitment to meaningful, year-round service. We’re proud to stand with and for our community, today and every day.
