As his career skyrockets, this uber-talented Owl remembers his roots at Temple.
On Wednesday, March 31, when Kalen Allen, TFM 18, served as a special guest host for The Ellen Show, the now-famous Owl had more than one surprise up his sleeve.
Allen, who became an internet sensation in 2017 with his cooking reaction videos, is now perhaps best known for hosting the segment OMKalen on EllenTube and his recent appearance in the HBO film An American Pickle. He was featured as one of Temple s 30 Under 30 in 2019.
Along with guests Kelly Rowland and Angelica Ross, Allen was joined on the show by Assistant Professor of Theater Amina Robinson, TFM 99, 03.
But the surprises weren t over. Allen announced that The Ellen Show through their sponsor Shutterfly will be supporting Temple s School of Theater, Film and Media Arts with a generous donation of $10,000.
