For the second year in a row, Temple University is joining the City of Philadelphia as a partner in Philly Free Streets, the daylong summertime event that closes Broad Street to traffic and becomes a block party from City Hall north to Butler Street.
This year s Philly Free Streets event on Temple s Main Campus will be bigger and better, combining the university s many community resources, including health screenings and job training, with fun and festivities, such as paint-by-numbers on adirondack chairs for the Temple Community Garden, face painting, arts and crafts and a DJ.
