On Sunday, May 3, at 8 a.m., Caitlin Kummeth, Class of 2015, a strategic communications major in the School of Media and Communication, will take her place at the Central High School Athletic Field, beginning the 10-mile journey of the Blue Cross Broad Street Run for the very first time. An avid runner, Kummeth is excited to see other Temple students, both running and spectating, during her trek through Main Campus and the city of Philadelphia.

Kummeth will be running on Sunday for two people who won t be present to cheer her on: her uncle and cousin. Both having passed away from cancer, they serve as her biggest inspiration.

Many members of the Temple community are taking part in Sunday's Broad Street Run, including the Boyle family of Philadelphia's East Falls neighborhood. Allison Boyle, Class of 2017, will be running in addition to singing the National Anthem prior to kick off. Her mother, Michele, a physician's assistant for Temple University Health System, and father, Joe, will run along with her.
