With men s basketball riding a six-game winning streak, excitement is building in anticipation of the upcoming Temple vs. East Carolina University game on Saturday, Feb. 14 which also happens to be Hooter the Owl s birthday.
The annual birthday celebration features games and activities on the concourse for the whole family and the chance to meet other local mascots.
The first 1,500 kids age 14 and under will receive a Temple Owls duffle bag, courtesy of the Philadelphia Federal Credit Union.
Following the men s game, spectators are invited to take part in a picture-taking and autograph session with members of the team.
At this home doubleheader, fans will also have the opportunity to cheer on the women s basketball team as it takes on Houston.

Students may pick up their free tickets at the student entrance of the Liacouras Center (located at 15th and Montgomery streets) when the doors open at 12:30.
