Football training camp began this week and the Temple Owls are getting ready for their return to the BIG EAST.
"As a competitor, whether you are a coach or a player, you love challenges. This is a great challenge for us," said Head Coach Steve Addazio about the upcoming season.
"Philadelphia is one of the great sports cities in America - they love football," he said. "Come out and support the Temple Owls! You have a major college football program right here."
The Owls kick off the season on Friday, Aug. 31 with a Mayor's Cup matchup against Villanova at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field. The team's first BIG EAST contest is on Saturday, Oct. 6 at home against South Florida.
