Books and Brews: A Silent Reading Social

Temple University Libraries
An open book on a table, with a red autumn leaf laid on top. A cup of coffee or tea is nearby.

Reading for pleasure has been associated with stress reduction, improved empathy, and better overall well-being. Books and Brews is a relaxed, Silent Book Club–inspired gathering where you can unplug, enjoy a complimentary beverage, and spend dedicated time reading alongside fellow students. Bring any book you're currently reading—whether it's fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, or poetry—share the title if you'd like, then settle in for quiet reading. No assigned books (although we will have titles you can borrow!), no required discussion, just a welcoming space to read, recharge, and connect with a community of readers. Refreshments and giveaways will be provided.

This event is sponsored by the Ginsburg Health Sciences Library, GAF, and SFC Activities and Operations.

OPEN TO: Faculty and Staff, Graduate Students, Undergraduate Students
