In celebration of LGBTQIA+ History Month, join us for a facilitated Queer Lunch Dialogue honoring the people, movements, and collective efforts that have advanced LGBTQIA+ visibility, rights, representation, and belonging.
We will explore how LGBTQIA+ activism has intersected with and contributed to broader movements for racial justice, gender equity, bodily autonomy, disability justice, and other forms of liberation. At the same time, we will turn inward to consider where erasure, identity policing, and exclusion can still occur within LGBTQIA+ spaces.
Through guided discussion and interactive scenarios, we will examine bisexual and pansexual erasure, gender expression, heteronormativity, and expectations surrounding queer identities.
Together, we will celebrate LGBTQIA+ history and its contributions to collective liberation while asking: Who gets to belong, whose identities and stories are centered, and how can we continue creating spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and represented?
All students, staff, and faculty are welcome.
