In this interactive 30-minute Lunch & Learn session, participants will explore the fundamentals of grant writing, including where to find grant opportunities and how to prepare a strong proposal. Designed for beginners and professionals seeking a quick refresher, this session introduces practical strategies for identifying funding sources, understanding grant requirements and crafting clear, compelling proposals that align with funder priorities.  
 
Participants will gain insight into common components of grant applications, tips for organizing proposal narratives, and tools for locating grants from foundations, government agencies, and community funders. The session will conclude with a brief Q&A and resource share, providing tools and starting points they can use immediately to begin or strengthen their grant-seeking efforts.

PRESENTER: Shari Levine, M.Ed. is an experienced educator, administrator, and grant consultant with almost 2 decades of experience in education. She holds a degree in Political Science and Italian from Temple University and a Master of Education from Saint Joseph’s University. Throughout her career in Philadelphia schools, Shari has served as a middle and high school teacher, Grant Writer, Middle School Administrator, Math Department Director and Testing Coordinator.  
 
Passionate about expanding educational opportunities, she is the Founder and CEO of For GrantED LLC, an educational consulting firm that supports schools and organizations through grant research and writing, curriculum development, professional development and academic resource creation. Through her work, Shari helps educators and institutions secure funding, strengthen programs and create innovative learning experiences that empower students and communities.
