Papermaking with Molds

Charles Library
Hands working with a screen on a piece of paper.

In this workshop, we’ll use 3D-printed molds, laser-cut stencils, foam core, plants, and dye to create handmade sheets of paper. After a brief demonstration, you'll have the chance to choose a mold or stencil, pull your own paper sheet, and experiment with different tools and methods to create a composition. Be ready to get your hands in some pulp! We’ll talk about sustainable practices, recycling possibilities, and how custom papermaking can support and extend your studio and/or prototyping work. Nitrile gloves provided.
