Queerness has gatekeepers and they don’t always announce themselves. This conversation asks the uncomfortable questions, Who gets centered in LGBTQ+ spaces? Whose identity gets validated, and whose gets questioned? Through the lens of queer Arab American experience, we’ll examine how race, religion, culture, and presentation shape who “counts” as queer and what it costs when the answer is you don’t.
