The Boyer College of Music and Dance present Cybersounds.
Cybersounds returns with a special guest appearance by violinist Mari Kimura, a pioneering performer and creator at the forefront of music and technology. Known for her groundbreaking work with interactive systems and motion-controlled performance, Kimura joins Temple’s Boyer Electroacoustic Ensemble Project (BEEP) for an evening of innovative works that blur the lines between gesture, sound, and code.
The program features works by Sam Wells and Paula Mathusen, as well as SHIFT, a collaborative work with choreography by Jillian Harris, video by Nora Gibson, and music direction by Adam Vidiksis. The evening also includes DJ sets by Joshua Slomiak, kale iii, and Sivee.
Alongside student compositions, live electronics, and immersive audiovisual elements, the concert brings together emerging student voices and established artists in a dynamic cross-section of creative work shaping the present and future of music.
This event is free and open to the public.
Performances in the lobby start at 7:00 PM and the concert will start at 7:30 PM in the hall.
