PRFWCC Spring Webinar - No More Guesswork: Helping Fieldwork Educators Evaluate Students with Confidence

Fieldwork coordinators for Drexel University and CHOP will share information designed to improve the objectivity and clarity of site-specific learning objectives and associated Fieldwork Performance Evaluation scoring of Level 2 students. This interactive session will help strengthen fieldwork programs by providing a blueprint for clarifying expectations for students and fieldwork educators about entry-level fieldwork competencies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Objectively gauge student performance using AOTA’s FWPE rating scale ​

  • Implement site-specific learning objective (re)development by embedding FWPE scoring criteria

  • Confidently understand and explain entry-level competence expectations using updated site-specific learning objectives

About the presenters: 

  • Anna Grasso, OTD, MS, OTR/L, CAPS, ECHM, is the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator for Drexel University’s MSOT program. She enjoys finding ways to enhance fieldwork education methods and tools for students, fieldwork educators, and fieldwork coordinators.

  • Bridget Trivinia, OTD, MS, OTR/L, is an Occupational Therapy Education and Development Coordinator with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), where she is responsible for the fieldwork education and doctoral capstone programs, continuing education, and professional development of occupational therapy practitioners. Prior to joining CHOP, Bridget was the Founding Director of Fieldwork Education and Associate Clinical Professor at Widener University. Bridget has presented at the state and national levels on a variety of topics, including program development, mentorship, fieldwork education, and multi-source feedback.
