The All School Workshop brings together Tyler student organizations and clubs for an afternoon of interdisciplinary, hands-on learning. Through short demos, longer guided sessions, and ongoing drop-in activities, students can explore techniques across art, design, architecture, accessibility, and making.
Participating workshops include:
Tyler Design Club
- An Adobe skills demo using Illustrator and 3D models in After Effects.
- Session length: 30 minutes
Tyler Ceramics Collective
- A sgraffito and intaglio workshop using engobe to decorate tiles, bowls, and cups, with both individual and communal carving opportunities.
- Session length: 1–1.5 hours
NOMAS
- A student work gallery and physical model-making workshop featuring templates and model-making demonstrations.
- Session length: 15–20 minutes
Painting Guild
- A fun painting session with some skilled artisans.
- Session length: 30 minutes–1 hour
AIAS
- An ink-and-watercolor architectural sketching workshop introducing the fundamentals of perspective drawing with watercolor techniques.
- Session length: 1–1.5 hours
Glass Collective
- A live hot sculpting demonstration alongside a glass cutting workshop where visitors can learn to score and cut glass.
- Session length: 12:00–1:30 PM
TechOWL
- A collaborative challenge-based activity where participants help solve accessibility-focused prompts using simple materials.
- Session length: Ongoing drop-in
Tyler Fibers Guild
- A felt keychain and magnet workshop introducing basic hand-sewing techniques.
- Session length: 15–30 minutes per person
Print Guild
- A risograph demonstration and printmaking activity led by students.
- Session length: 12:00–2:00 PM drop in at anytime
