Building Equitable Community Partnerships Symposium | Day 2 for Temple University Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students

Are you a Temple faculty, staff member or graduate student interested in community-engaged research, teaching, and/or service?  Please join us for an event on Friday, Feb. 27, focused on building and sustaining equitable university-community partnerships. This event is part of the College of Education and Human Development’s 2026 Acres of Diamonds Symposium and will focus on how university staff, students, and faculty can engage equitably with communities, based upon culturally responsive and socially just principles and practices. Dr. Ann Ishimaru, Kerry and Linda Killinger Endowed Chair and Professor of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Policy at the University of Washington, will give a talk based upon her research and work in the area of university-community partnerships and collaborations. The symposium—held from 9:30-noon in Morgan Hall 301, will also include roundtable presentations and discussions related to building and sustaining equitable university-community collaborations. A continental breakfast will be served.
