AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude are powerful research tools—but they generate citations that don’t exist, a phenomenon known as “hallucination” or misrepresent the content of the article cited. As these tools become more common in academic work, verifying the accuracy of citations is more important than ever. Join us for a concise, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn practical strategies to identify fake citations and verify legitimate sources in navigating AI-generated content responsibly.

This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link. This workshop will not be recorded, but a copy of the slides will be emailed after the workshop concludes.
