Charles Library
Question mark in front of data center servers

Curious or concerned about data centers? Have questions about how they store data and operate, and their benefits, energy consumption and emission, and potential socio-economic and environmental impacts? Join Dana McDonald, Technical Delivery Manager at NTT Data, for a talk on data centers and her doctoral research on a machine learning approach for Power Usage Effectiveness.

Dana McDonald currently serves as a Technical Delivery Manager at NTT Global Data Centers, where she leads global IIoT telemetry, HRIS, and EHS programs that enhance operational readiness, data intelligence, and security across one of the world’s largest data center portfolios. Her work spans cloud strategy, enterprise architecture, secure system integration, and the deployment of scalable digital ecosystems that support high-availability, globally distributed environments. Dana holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut, an MS in Computer Information Technology (IT Project Management) from Purdue University, and a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Dillard University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Business Administration at Temple University, with research focused on energy optimization in data centers.
