| This session will explore the emerging and evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI) in mental health practice. Together, we will examine how AI is currently being used in mental health service delivery, while also critically considering its limitations. The discussion will place particular emphasis on ethical considerations, including issues of bias, privacy, accessibility, and the implications for the therapeutic relationship, as well as what these developments may mean for the future of the social work profession. Participants are invited to engage in a thoughtful dialogue, reflect on real-world practice implications, and consider how to responsibly integrate and critique AI in their future work. This conversation will deepen understanding of an emerging topic and provide an opportunity to discuss how AI is reshaping mental health work. |
