HOOT (Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together) Big Adventure

Are you ready for a big adventure? HOOT (Healing Ourselves Outdoors Together) invites you to explore the outdoors at Temple University Ambler on Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Register for this free, family-friendly event online at https://harrisburg.temple.edu/hoot.

HOOT, developed by Temple University Harrisburg, Let s Go Outdoors and other community partners, is a great way for families to start exploring outdoor recreation in a safe, supported way. Join other families who are also new to the outdoors!

During the HOOT Big Adventure at Temple University Ambler, visitors will take part in a plant identification walk with the Ambler Arboretum of Temple University; learn about citizen science with the Temple Ambler Field Station; practice outdoor survival skills with Ambler Campus Recreation, Outdoor Education and Wellness; and explore the wonderful, weird and wild plants that call the Tyler School of Art and Architecture Greenhouse Education and Research Complex home.

A free bus to the event from Temple University Main Campus will be available at 9 a.m. at the corner of Broad Street and Cecil B. Moore. Registration is required for the bus. Learn more about the HOOT program here.
