OLLI Sampler - How to Propagate Your Own Plants

TUCC // Office of Non-Credit and Continuing Education

This workshop that can be very hands-on or enjoyed as a lecture without participation. Propagating is a beautiful form of recycling. You can create an ever-expanding garden without buying new plants. The method can be used for trees, bushes, and plants. I have been propagating my own plants for at least 20 years at three different homes. I often ask friends and neighbors for a cutting from a beautiful bush or tree and I love how my friends are represented in my garden. I will demonstrate how, when and where to take cuttings. I will exhibit the materials needed and provide a list in advance if participants want to ready to get their hands dirty.
