DHS Commissioner Cynthia Figueroa has devoted her career to helping improve the lives of vulnerable children and families. Prior to her appointment by Mayor Jim Kenney, Ms. Figueroa served as President and CEO of Congresso de Latinos Unidos. Commissioner Figueroa will discuss trends in foster care, child welfare fiscal policy, privitization and child welfare reform efforts with Temple faculty, staff, students and community members.
