Picture this, you are in a meeting with your colleagues and your supervisor turns to you and says, would love to share his/her impressions of the event and you wish you could disappear or leave the room or be anywhere but sitting at the table having to describe your experience.
It is moments like these where one s comfort with spontaneity is tested. For many years, improvisational theater actors have been using a set of skills that encourage comfort with spontaneity. They are practiced and rehearsed so that when improv actors are in a sketch, they can depend on each other to offer new ideas instantly to keep the action of a scene or story moving forward and to make it engaging for the audience.
In this highly interactive training program, participants will learn and practice the improv skills of Yes, and, Accepting offers, Building, and Trust that are the foundation of improvisational theater, which will help participants develop their own comfort level with speaking in the moment. Participants should be prepared to be on their feet and active throughout the session as well as try things that they are unfamiliar with.
