Wrestling with Jewish Peoplehood

A two-day conference sponsored by Feinstein, the Mordecai M. Kaplan Center for Jewish Peoplehood, the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, and the Department of Jewish Studies of McGill University and hosted by the National Museum of American Jewish History.

Scholars and Jewish community leaders explore the extent to which the concept of peoplehood, in its variations, remains relevant to Jewish life. Confirmed speakers include Jane Eisner, Irving Yitz Greenberg, Shai Held, Peter Beinart, Sharon Kleinbaum, John Ruskay, and Deborah Waxman, and featuring a special musical performance by Hankus Netsky, founder and director of the Klezmer Conservatory Band, on Sunday evening.
