The system allows observations on living cells inside a cell culture incubator over long periods of time; from hours to weeks. It accommodates a variety of standard tissue culture vessels, including microplates, dishes, flasks and slides for simultaneous experiments and multiple user accessibility. The automated imaging allows walk-away data acquisition without the need to remove the cells from the incubator.
