Jamaica Summer 2016 Study Abroad Opportunity Meeting

College of Education and Human Development
Jamaica

Interested in studying abroad? If so, please come to an upcoming meeting and hear about the 2016 Jamaica Summer Abroad Program. The program is 6 credits, 5 1/2 weeks in Summer 1 (May 11-June 18). Students spend the majority of the time in a non-tourist rural area (Yallahs, St. Thomas). We also spend some time at the University of the West Indies, Mona and visit other areas of Jamaica. The program is open to all majors, and features community-service learning in K-12 schools, a school for pregnant teens/teen mothers, providing supports to farmers' and other organizations, and conducting community-based research in urban schools. Housing is in a beachfront villa and the program fee is $1900. Visit the Blackboard Site to learn more! .
