Working hard to get your business idea funded? Crowdfunding is one creative way you can kickstart your fundraising goals. Join us in the LaunchPad to hear from crowdfunding pros Kiva Zip and CoPhilly on tips and best practices.
This workshop covers the basics of running a campaign, from beginning to end. Ideal for beginners to crowdfunding.
About our presenters:
Kiva Zip allows entrepreneurs to access 0% interest microloans that are crowdfunded by hundreds of individual lenders around the world. Loans are distributed based off the character of the business owner -- not their financial history.
CoPhilly is the first crowdfunding accelerator in the world. Through a 10-week curriculum-based program, startups and small-medium sized businesses learn how to use crowdfunding (rewards and equity based), micro-finance, and angel investment in order to raise seed or growth capital. Twice per year (February and September) in Philadelphia, up to thirty companies each receive access to 90 hours of coursework, a public Demo Day, multiple investment opportunities, a team of student interns, crowdfunding and industry-specific mentors, and pro-bono professional services totaling an average of $60,000 per company.
