Encountering Terrorism: How the Liberal Arts Formulates Responses to Global Threats

Understanding that terrorism is not a distant concern, this panel will seek to illuminate the multifaceted nature of terrorism both at home and abroad, explain what different political, religious, and social movements are about and consider why people are attracted to joining movements with radically different ideologies and potentially destructive goals.
