Election Day

Posted

Dear Students and Colleagues,

Tomorrow is election day here in the City of Philadelphia and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Temple University has a strong tradition of active civic engagement and voting, and I am incredibly proud of every member of our community who has committed to taking part in tomorrow’s election.

Many of you may have already cast your vote by mail, while others will head to the polls tomorrow. The most important thing is that you exercise your right to make your voice heard. Voting is one of the most significant ways that we as Americans can actively participate in our democracy, and it also supports the Temple mission of preparing our students to be active citizens.

Tomorrow, beginning at 10 a.m. and continuing through 12:30 p.m., we will provide transportation for students who wish to vote at the polling sites near Temple’s Main Campus. The wheelchair accessible vehicle will begin its route at the 12th Street Main Campus bus stop, and it will also pick up students on the 1600 block of North 12th Street and the 800 block of Berks Street. For information on how to vote and to find your specific polling location, visit vote.org or Temple Votes, a nonpartisan initiative led by a committee of students, faculty, staff and voter education organizations.

Thank you for choosing to make your voice heard tomorrow.

Sincerely,

John Fry
President
