To the Temple Community,
Today, the Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) announced that the armed robbery that occurred this Sunday, Oct. 4, may be part of a pattern of similar incidents happening in other parts of the city.
Temple University’s Department of Public Safety and PPD have been closely investigating the incident since we notified you of it, and are working to identify suspects.
The incidents that PPD has reported have occurred on Oct. 4 and Oct. 6 in the following areas.
- 400 Spring Garden St., 4:18 a.m.
- 1900 Arch St., 5:30 a.m.
- 2200 Green St., 5:35 a.m.
- 1300 N. Broad St., 5:56 a.m.
- 1900 N. 16th St., 6:03 a.m.
- 700 N. 27th St., 5:40 a.m.
- 1900 W Norris St., 6:23 a.m.
We are asking our community to be vigilant and to take appropriate safety precautions. As these investigations are ongoing, we strongly encourage any student, faculty or staff member with information or video footage of these areas to contact the following.

When it comes to keeping safe, please keep these tips in mind.
- Report suspicious activity immediately to Temple Police.
- Utilize Flight shuttles and the Walking Escort service.
- Consider installing security cameras or video doorbells.
