To the Temple Community,

This evening, around 8:20 p.m., the Temple University Police Department (TUPD) and Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) responded to reports of a shooting that occurred off-campus in the area of the 2100 block of North 18th Street. Upon arrival, they found an individual in a residence who had been shot.

The victim, who is not affiliated with the university, has since been transported to Temple Hospital and is currently in critical condition. The search for the suspect is currently underway.

PPD is leading the investigation while TUPD is working to assist detectives.
