To the Temple Community,   

This morning, around 11:50 a.m., the Temple University Police Department (TUPD) and Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) responded to a shooting incident involving two vehicles that happened in the area of the 3400 block of Germantown Avenue adjacent to Temple University Hospital.  

Preliminary information indicates that two individuals in a vehicle fired shots at a separate vehicle, striking two people. The shooting suspects then drove away, and police are presently searching for them.  

One of the victims walked to Temple University Hospital and the other was transported there by PPD. Both victims are presently being treated, and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. 

PPD is leading the investigation while TUPD is working to assist detectives. Investigators are reviewing security video, and Temple Police are also increasing patrols in the area.
