To the Temple Community,
This evening, just after 7:00 p.m., Temple University Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of 1700 N. Broad Street near the Liacouras Center.
Upon arrival, Police Officers recovered several shell casings at the scene. Reports suggest that an altercation involving two juveniles occurred outside of a nearby fast food restaurant prior to the incident. At this time, there are no reports of injuries.
The Philadelphia Police Department (PPD) Central Detectives have processed the scene and have cleared the area. PPD is leading the investigation. Temple University Police are working in close coordination with them to investigate this incident and are currently reviewing camera footage and working to identify witnesses.
