The City of Philadelphia Police, along with Temple University Police, are investigating three robberies from earlier today involving Temple students. Some descriptions were similar and each time a silver handgun was used. No one was injured in the incidents. The three incidents occurred at:

• 12:30 p.m. at 1500 W. Dauphin Street

• 1 p.m. at 1300 W. Dauphin Street

• 1:15 p.m. at 1500 W. Norris Street

The males involved in these incidents are described as:

• An African American male, 5 10 to 6 2 tall with a light complexion, full beard, and a grey hooded sweatshirt with a dark puffy vest over top

• An African American male, 5 5 tall with a dark complexion and dark puffy coat

Philadelphia and Temple police have increased patrols around campus. In light of these incidents, we would like to remind everyone in the Temple community:

• If you see anyone fitting these descriptions, call the City of Philadelphia Police immediately by dialing 911 or if on campus, call Temple Police by dialing 1-1234 from a campus phone or 215-204-1234 from a non-campus phone.

• Walk with others whenever possible.

• Be aware of your surroundings and avoid using distracting devices like cell phones and iPods while walking.

• Avoid dark or hidden walkways and the temptation to use shortcuts and informal pathways.

• Take advantage of the Owloop and TUr Door services. The Owloop is available from dusk to dawn for on-campus transportation, as well as TUr Door for those living just off the campus. More information can be found on the Campus Safety Services website at http://www.temple.edu/safety.
